Summer Bly played for the Georgian Grizzlies women's basketball program for four seasons. In her rookie campaign in 2007-08 she was named an East Division Second-Team All-Star, finishing 14th in OCAA scoring and fifth in rebounding averaging 12.6 points and 8.6 boards per game.

She improved on those totals the following season. Summer was the top rebounder in the conference averaging 14.7 rebounds per game, and third in OCAA scoring averaging 18.1 points per game. She also contributed a league-high 40 blocks. Summer was named an East Division First-Team All-Star for her efforts.

Summer returned to the Grizzlies in 2010-11 when she arguably had her best collegiate season. Named OCAA Player of the Year and an CCAA All-Canadian, she led Georgian in all the major statistical categories averaging 15.0 points per game while contributing 154 rebounds, 55 blocks and 43 steals. Also named the East Division Defensive Player of the Year, Summer was a member of the East Division First-Team All-Stars.

In her final season in 2013-14, Summer moved into seventh spot in all-time OCAA scoring with 950 career points. She was fifth in scoring averaging 17.5 points per game while defensively leading the OCAA with 191 rebounds and 59 blocks. In addition, Summer was tied for fifth in steals with 45. She was once again named East Division Defensive Player of the Year, an East Division First-Team All-Star and earned CCAA Academic All-Canadian honours.
