Larry Cook was a professor in the police foundations program at Loyalist College for 27 years. The majority of these years saw Cook involved with Loyalist's varsity program serving as either a head or an assistant coach with seven different programs.

Larry accumulated over 20 OCAA medals, including nine gold. In addition, he coached several cross country athletes that won individual OCAA championships, some of whom also medalled at CCAA nationals. He also won three CCAA national team medals during his coaching tenure.

Larry was the head coach of men's hockey, men's and women's rugby, badminton and cross country. In addition, he served as an assistant coach with the men's and women's volleyball teams.

When rugby became an official OCAA sport, Larry returned to the sideline and put together an amazing run winning a D-II silver medal followed by three straight D-II provincial titles. Larry was named coach of the year on four different occasions.
