Bio
Cliff Dunkeld helped launch the women's softball program at Seneca College in the late 1970s, participating in the NJCAA Penn-York Division. Seneca had a 3-6 record its first season, then reversed its record to 6-3 the following year.
When women's softball became an OCAA sport in 1981, Seneca hosted and won the inaugural provincial championship. The tournament sport soon blossomed into an east-west league. Seneca medalled each year of Cliff's leadership, earning two silver medals, a bronze and another gold to close his impressive career with Seneca.
Cliff was able to coach a number of unique and varied athletes to banner years at Seneca; league pitching champion Antoinette Toth (1983-84); league batting champion Lee-Anne Quinn (with a .714 average in 1984-85), and OCAA all-star left fielder Angela James, who could throw out a runner at home plate from left field.
