As a gifted goal scorer, Mike Everson tallied 47 goals in just three seasons, and currently sits second on the OCAA's all-time scoring leader list.

Everson's goal scoring prowess is highlighted by the fact that he also holds Fleming's single season record for goals with 19, a record he set in 1982-83. Fleming finished in the top four in all his years with the team, and they lost a close 2-1 match to Seneca in the 1983 gold medal game.

Everson also played Division II men's basketball for Fleming, placing among the top point scorers in the league. In 1981-82 he was selected as the Knights team MVP.
