Nick Harbaruk was a coach on the Seneca men's hockey team from 1977-1986. Harbaruk joined the team as an assistant coach, where he helped lead the squad to their first provincial championship in almost a decade.

In 1980-81, Harbaruk took over as head coach of the hockey program, and the team posted a perfect 16-0 regular season record. Three out of the next four years, Seneca would go on and win the OCAA championship. Over his career, Harbaruk's Braves went on to collect three CCAA medals - one silver and two bronze.

Harbaruk's teams were described to always be tough and well disciplined. During his nine years with the program, Seneca compiled an impressive record of 220 wins and 69 losses, providing many years of electrifying and exciting hockey for the OCAA.

In his days before Seneca, Nick played five years in the NHL, four (1969-73) with the Pittsburgh Penguins and one (1974-75) with the St. Louis Blues. In 364 career games, he scored 45 goals and 75 assists. He also played three seasons in the WHA with the Indianapolis Racers scoring 45 goals and adding 45 assists.
