Steve Irving had an incredible string of success in the early 1980s with the Georgian Grizzlies golf program.

Irving dominated the Ontario college golf scene, winning three consecutive men's individual titles from 1981 to 1983. In 1983 he shot a 36 hole score of 147, his lowest score in three years of championship competition.

Irving also played a key role in helping the Georgian men win the gold medal in team competition in 1982.

In 2011, he became a member of the OCAA Golf All-Millennium team.
