Scott Irwin competed in four seasons at St. Clair College from 1982-86 and is a native of Kingsville, Ont. During his Saints career, he amassed 1,433 points for fifth all-time in OCAA career scoring. Over those 90 games he averaged 15.9 points per game and until recently, stood only one point from the top of the OCAA scoring chart. 

He stands in second place on the all-time St. Clair scoring chart with 1,930 points in 124 games played and a 15.6 points per game average. In his four seasons he was always in the Top 10 in OCAA scoring. In his first year of league play, Irwin was awarded the St.Clair College Coaches Award for Attitude and Dedication and was later honoured with this same award in 1985.

In addition to a fine playing career he came back to St. Clair as a coach for three seasons and guided the Saints to an OCAA bronze medal in 1990-91.
