Kathie Jackson competed in three consecutive OCAA provincial championships with the Confederation 67's from 1986 to 1988. After winning bronze and silver medals in mixed curling in 1986 and 1987 respectively, Jackson and her teammates went on to win the 1988 provincial title earning the right to compete as Team Ontario at the CCAA national championship. The foursome continued to excel on the national level, winning the gold medal and posting an undefeated 18-0 record against the country's finest.

Jackson's performance on the ice garnered her plenty of individual awards. At the 1988 OCAA championships, her entire rink was honoured as championship all-stars. Jackson was also named to the CCAA all-star team. Along with teammate Lorne Jackson, Kathie was recognized as the Confederation College curling MVP. The tandem was also recognized by the local community as they were recipients of the City of Thunder Bay Distinguished Achievement Award.

After her colligate career at Confederation College, Kathie continued to compete at an elite level of curling, participating at the Ontario Scott Provincials on several occasions. Kathie remains active in the leadership of the Fort Frances Curling Club.
