Andrew Mathieson was a dominant player in OCAA badminton from 1990-1993 at Seneca College.

In his first year, Mathison earned a regional championship title and parlayed that performance into an OCAA silver medal before claiming CCAA bronze in the men's singles division.

One year later, Mathieson was simply dominant with his partner, Sajid Alam, earning OCAA provincial and CCAA national gold in men's doubles, posting national championship final scores of 15-2, 15-3. For his dominating performance, Mathieson was named Seneca's Athlete of the Year.

In his final year, the Computer Programming Analyst graduate added to his athletic resume earning another OCAA silver medal in men's singles and was inducted into the Seneca Athletic Hall of Fame.

Continuing to give back to his Alma matter, Mathieson returned as a coach and in 1995-96 where he was named the OCAA Badminton Coach of the Year.
