Paul Reader coached one of the most successful sport programs in OCAA history.

Under his guidance, the Sheridan Bruins men's volleyball team won seven OCAA championships and four national medals in 12 years, including a gold medal at the CCAA championship in 1983.

Reader's contributions to the program continued after his retirement in 1990, as the Bruins won six consecutive provincial titles between 1989 and 1994.

Over the course of his career, Reader coached 32 OCAA league and tournament all-stars, 10 CCAA all-stars, and 15 all-Canadians.
