Eugene Selva established himself as one of the top players of his era, and was named to the OCAA league all-star team in each of his four years of competition.
Selva led his region in total offence in 1996-97 and tied for the league lead with 5.5 points per game. An All-Canadian that same season, Selva and the Hawks won the OCAA silver medal in both 1993-94 and 1995-96.
In 1993-94, Selva was named Humber's Male Athlete of the Year. Following his collegiate career, Humber College retired his jersey number and inducted him into their Hall of Fame.
In 2000, Selva was honoured as a member of the OCAA Men's Volleyball All-Millennium team.
