Jim Wolch was both a staff member and coach for Centennial College in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

Jim served as the Senior Convenor for cross country running in 1977-78 and again in 1979-80. In 1980-81 he took on the position of Senior Convenor for men's basketball and held that position up to and including the 1982-83 season.

Wolch was a coach on the Centennial Colts men's basketball team which won the CCAA championship in 1983-84, as well as OCAA championships in 1982-83 and 1983-84.

In 1988, Jim Wolch was honoured by the OCAA and was presented with a Shield Award.
