TORONTO - The following student-athletes have been recognized by the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) for their accomplishments during the seven-day period ending Sunday, Jan. 19.

Student-athletes are nominated by their respective athletic departments.
Kurtis Brisebois
School: Cambrian
Program: Business
Year of Eligibility: 5
Sport: Volleyball
Hometown: Sudbury, Ont.
Brisebois played a pivotal role in a pair of 3-0 victories for the Cambrian Shield this past weekend. As a fifth-year captain, Brisebois's leadership is invaluable, guiding the Shield to success with both skill and composure. The left side excelled in all areas of the game, passing an impressive 85 per cent on serve receive, recording one block, and contributing seven digs and four kills in a win over the Fanshawe Falcons on Jan. 19. Cambrian defeated the St. Clair Saints the previous day. The Shield are on a five-match winning streak.
Walker Kalin
School: Conestoga
Program: Business - Purchasing
Year of Eligibility: 4
Sport: Volleyball
Hometown: Kitchener, Ont.
Kalin was extremely efficient in two big home victories for the Conestoga Condors last week. In a 3-0 sweep against the Redeemer Royals on Jan. 15, Kalin collected 14 points on 13 kills and a service ace. In a huge four-set victory over the previously unbeaten Humber Hawks three days later, the fourth-year outside hitter added 18 kills on an efficient .357 attack percentage. For the week, Kalin averaged 4.6 points per set and is currently fourth in the West Division in scoring. The Condors improved to 10-5 on the season.
Taryn Mitchell
School: Niagara
Program: Pre-Health Sciences
Year of Eligibility: 4
Sport: Basketball
Hometown: Port Colborne, Ont.
Mitchell had an excellent game against the Sheridan Bruins on Jan. 15, scoring a season-best 18 points in 25 minutes of action in a 76-60 victory. The fourth-year guard connected on a couple of three-pointers on three attempts, while adding eight rebounds, four assists and two steals in a well-rounded effort. This was Mitchell's second 16-plus point game in a row, beginning the winter semester strong. With the 16-point victory, the Niagara Knights stand alone atop the West Division standings with a record of 10-1.
Kendra Oliver
School: Mohawk
Program: Protection, Security & Investigation
Year of Eligibility: 3
Sport: Basketball
Hometown: Ajax, Ont.
Oliver had a season-best performance for the Mohawk Mountaineers in their 74-60 upset over the nationally-ranked Humber Hawks on Jan. 15. The third-year forward collected an eighth double-double of the campaign with a season-high 26 points and tying a season-high of 18 rebounds, while also adding a pair of steals. Oliver now ranks ninth in the OCAA averaging 13.8 points per game and first in rebounds averaging 13.0. Mohawk improved to 8-4 on the regular season as it battles for a home playoff game in February.
Mark Stoop
School: Durham
Program: Firefighter - Pre-Service Education & Training
Year of Eligibility: 4
Sport: Basketball
Hometown: Oshawa, Ont.
Stoop had a pair of strong showings in our Nation's Capital this past weekend as the Durham Lords travelled to face the Algonquin Wolves and La Cité Coyotes. Against the Wolves on Jan. 17, Stoop played 32 minutes and earned 15 points, seven defensive rebounds and three blocks in an 81-68 win. Less than 24 hours later against the Coyotes, Stoop posted a second double-double of the season with 13 points, 10 rebounds and three assists in a 93-68 victory. The Lords remain perfect in the East Division with a 13-0 record.
Kennedy Williscroft
School: Humber
Program: Kinesiology
Year of Eligibility: 2
Sport: Volleyball
Hometown: Vancouver, B.C.
Williscroft was instrumental this past week in helping the Humber Hawks stay undefeated by picking up two more victories. In a straight sets sweep of Niagara on Jan. 15, Williscroft tallied 25 assists while contributing a service ace and a stuff block. In a four-set win at Conestoga on Jan. 18, Williscroft finished with 37 assists and added nine digs, three kills, and three aces. Through 15 matches, the second-year setter leads the conference with an 8.52 assists-per-set average. The Hawks have lost only four sets in 15 regular season matches.
