JORDAN TIMPSON TAKES THE REINS OF COLTS MEN'S VOLLEYBALL PROGRAM

SCARBOROUGH, Ont. - The Centennial Colts are thrilled to announce the hiring of Jordan Timpson as the new head coach for the Colts men's volleyball team. Timpson brings a wealth of experience and a dynamic coaching style that will help propel the Colts to even greater heights.

Timpson, a dedicated and passionate volleyball coach, joins the Colts with an impressive background in volleyball development and leadership. With a BSc in Sport Studies from The University of The West of England and Sport Management studies at Durham College, Timpson has demonstrated a commitment to athlete development and team performance.

Timpson has been instrumental in the growth of the Titans Volleyball Association, where he has served as the director of the boys program since September 2020. Under his leadership, the program expanded from just 10 athletes to over 60, showcasing his ability to build and sustain successful teams. His coaching prowess extends to the provincial level with Team Ontario Red, where he has contributed to the identification and development of top volleyball talent.

"I'm excited to bring my coaching experience to the collegiate level with the Centennial Colts, alongside my ongoing commitment to the Titans Volleyball program," said Coach Timpson. "The opportunity to work with collegiate athletes and help them reach their full potential is something I've aspired to. I'm thankful that Coach Clay Couchman has brought in some excellent recruits this year, making my transition to the role easier. I'm looking forward to building out my coaching staff and working with the guys. This team has made monumental steps over the last three years, and I'm thrilled to continue coaching in Scarborough with the same joy and dedication I have with Titans Volleyball. I'm eager to contribute to strengthening the program here and being a part continuing to be of this vibrant community."

Colts Athletic Director Darcy Brioux expressed his enthusiasm for Timpson's appointment, highlighting his significant achievements. "Jordan has already done incredible work with Team Ontario and Titans Volleyball, and we're fortunate to bring in a rising star in the Canadian volleyball coaching community. We are confident that his leadership and vision will continue the team's upward trajectory during this critical year for the program and inspire our athletes to excel both on and off the court."
