HUMBER 74, MOHAWK 53

HAMILTON, Ont. - The Humber Hawks remained unbeaten in OCAA women's basketball this season. The Hawks upped their brilliant record to 13-0 with a 74-53 win over the Mohawk Mountaineers at the David Braley Athletic and Recreation Centre on Saturday.

The home side put up a good fight in the first half. They led briefly before the break and could easily have been in front after 20 minutes, but Humber got some late scoring and led 32-27 at the half.

The Mountaineers should have been heartened by their performance, but the Hawks came out flying after the resumption of play and outscored their opponents 27-10 in the third quarter and Mohawk   couldn't get back into the fray. A 21-1 run by Humber was devastating.

Aleena Domingo had a strong game for the Hawks with 27 points and nine rebounds. Leticia Lopez contributed 15 points.

For the Mountaineers, who fell to 8-4, Sam Pocrnic had 12 points and Jasmina Kucic scored 10.
