Real was named the Most Valuable Player at the OCAA Men's Baseball Championship in Oshawa, Ont.. The first-year backstop caught all 21 innings during a three-game stretch in which St. Clair pitchers had an ERA of 2.67. Real also went 2-for-4 with one RBI in the gold medal game as St. Clair prevailed over Humber 7-1. For the St. Clair Saints, it marked a return to the top of the OCAA podium after winning five straight provincial crowns between 2013 and 2017. Prior to the championship, Real was named an OCAA League All-Star.
