OCAA CURLING CHAMPIONSHIPS DAY 4 RECAP
HAMILTON, Ont. – The semi-final matchups for the 2025 OCAA Curling Championships are set after day four of the tournament determined the top four teams in both the men's and women's divisions, as well as the mixed doubles.

MEN'S CURLING
The Humber Hawks finished the round robin with a perfect 7-0 record, taking the top spot. The Hawks will face the Fanshawe Falcons (4-3) in the first men's semi-final, while the Mohawk Mountaineers (6-1) will meet the Sault Cougars in the second semi-final.
In their final round robin game, Humber secured a 7-5 win over Fanshawe. The Hawks fell behind 1-0 in the first end but responded with two points in the second to take the lead. Fanshawe tied the game in the third, but Humber regained the advantage with a point in the fourth. After the Falcons took a 4-3 lead in the fifth, Humber scored three in the sixth to go ahead 6-4. Fanshawe added one in the seventh, but Humber sealed the win in the eighth.
Other men's results included the Sault Cougars defeating the Confederation Thunderhawks (0-7) 9-0, the Durham Lords (3-4) beating the Fleming Phoenix (1-6) 8-2, and the Mohawk Mountaineers defeating the Niagara Knights (2-5) 7-1.
WOMEN'S CURLING
The Fanshawe Falcons topped the women's round robin with a perfect 5-0 record. They will meet the Niagara Knights (2-3) in the first women's semi-final. The Humber Hawks (4-1) will face the Mohawk Mountaineers (3-2) in the second semi-final.
In their final round robin game, Fanshawe cruised to an 8-1 victory over Mohawk. The Falcons scored two in the first, three in the second, and one in the third to establish a 6-0 lead. Mohawk got on the board with a point in the fourth, but Fanshawe added two more in the fifth, and Mohawk conceded.
Other results in women's action included Humber defeating the Fleming Phoenix (1-4) 12-4, the Niagara Knights winning 7-2 over the Confederation Thunderhawks (0-5), the Mountaineers bouncing back with a 6-5 win over the Knights, and Humber defeating the Thunderhawks 9-1.
MIXED DOUBLES
The Sault-1 Cougars finished round robin play perfect with a 7-0 record. Their semi-final matchup will be against the Niagara-1 Knights (4-3), while the Sault-2 Cougars (6-1) will face the Mohawk Mountaineers (5-2) in the other semi-final.
The final mixed doubles spot was decided between the Niagara-1 Knights and the Fanshawe Falcons, with the Knights coming out on top 9-5. Fanshawe took the early lead with two in the first end, but Niagara-1 responded with two points of their own in the second. After the Falcons scored one in the third, the Knights added three in the fourth and one in the fifth to take a 6-3 lead. Fanshawe scored two in the sixth to close the gap, but Niagara-1 sealed their victory with two points in the seventh and one in the eighth.
Other mixed doubles results included the Humber Hawks losing 9-5 to the Mohawk Mountaineers, Sault-1 defeating Niagara-2 13-3, Sault-2 winning 11-1 over the Durham Lords, Sault-2 edging Niagara-1 10-8, Sault-2 defeating Mohawk 9-3, Humber beating Durham 7-6, and Fanshawe defeating Niagara-2 12-7.
Day five of the OCAA Curling Championships will begin at 9 a.m. with the men's and women's semi-finals. The mixed doubles semi-finals will follow at 12:30 p.m. The men's and women's medal games will take place at 2:30 p.m., with the mixed doubles medal games at 5 p.m. All action will take place at Dundas Valley Golf and Curling Club.
