ST. CLAIR 0, CONESTOGA 0

The St. Clair College men's and women's soccer teams opened their OCAA regular seasons on Saturday when they travelled to Kitchener, Ont., to take on the Conestoga College Condors.
 
The women came away with a hard fought 0-0 draw. Rebecca Singer picked up the shutout in net for the Saints. Last season the Saints were 1-7 while Conestoga had a record of 5-3.
 
In men's action the Saints fell to the Condors by a score of 5-2. Goal scorers for St. Clair were Mitch Trevisol and Gabriel Poulino. Last year the Saints finished in 4th place in the OCAA West Division with a record of 4-4 while Conestoga was in 3rd place with a record of 5-3.
 
Both the men and women are next in action on Saturday, September 15 when the host the Redeemer Royals in their home openers at the United Communities Credit Union Complex in Amherstburg, Ont. The men take the pitch at noon followed by the women at 2 p.m.
