CANADORE 3, LA CITE 0

OTTAWA - The Canadore Panthers women's varsity volleyball team took a victory in their road game, winning three straight sets against the La Cite Coyotes in Ottawa today.

The Panthers won back-to-back away games this weekend, which is something they haven't done yet this season. Their record now stands at 6-3, which puts them in fourth place in the East Division, right behind the Trent Excalibur.

Canadore assistant coach Hilary Baxter says, "Overall, we had a really good weekend. Lauren Kuehni played outstanding in both games and really helped command our offence."

Player of the game, setter Lauren Kuehni, commented on the Panthers weekend games. "This is a great way to finish off our semester. With a 6-3 record, we're going into the break feeling confident of the games that we've got coming up. We'll take some time to rest up and relax then come back strong during second semester to keep pushing for the playoffs."
