It was an outstanding offensive week for the second-year catcher, setting a new Mohawk Mountaineers record for runs scored in a single season with 25, surpassing Makowich's record of 24 from the previous year. During a six-game week, Makowich batted .556, ranking up 10 hits, 10 runs scored, four RBIs and four walks. Makowich also set a personal milestone with a first career home run on Oct. 6 against the Lambton Lions. In that 21-11 win, Makowich nearly hit for the cycle, coming up just a double short of the achievement.
