Peralta Fernandez was named Championship MVP as the Seneca Sting successfully defended their OCAA women's soccer championship. The fifth-year forward opened the scoring in Seneca's semifinal win over the Sheridan Bruins, and assisted on the game-winning goal in the 72nd minute as the Sting won 2-1. Peralta then set up what turned out to be the game-winning goal in the gold medal match against the Humber Hawks in a 3-1 victory. The veteran will now look to win a second straight national championship next month in British Columbia.
