DURHAM 3, FLEMING 0

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. – The Durham College men's volleyball team remained undefeated with a 3-0 win over the Fleming Knights on Friday night in Peterborough.

Set scores in the match were 25-22, 25-20 and 25-16, extending the Lords perfect set record to 9-0.

Making the transition from setter to outside hitter in 2012, Brad Vanhartingsveldt (Newcastle, Ont.) did not look out of place at his new position as he had a game high 16 points including 14 kills in the win.

Up the middle, Craig Lush was hard at work at the net with five blocks. The Port Perry native also added six kills and four aces to his totals for 14 points of offence.

Playing opposite of Lush was Clay Couchman, who led Fleming with 12 points including five blocks.

The Lords are 3-0 to start the season and are the only team in the OCAA East region who have not dropped a set.

Durham will head to Ottawa next weekend to take on the Algonquin Thunder (1-2) and La Cite Coyotes (2-0), before heading back to Oshawa for a three-game home stand.
