DURHAM 3, CAMBRIAN 0

OSHAWA, Ont. – The No. 3 OCAA ranked Durham College men's volleyball team continued to roll as they picked up two 3-0 victories over Cambrian and Boreal, extending their winning streak to seven games to start the season.

In Game 1 against Cambrian, Durham made quick work of the Golden Shield with set scores of 25-13, 25-9 and 25-22. Eleven players saw court time for the Lords in the win.

Lords setter Riley McAllister was one of the top scorers with five blocks, two aces and two kills. Former setter Brad VanHartingsveldt led the offence with 12 kills.

Durham saw similar results in Sunday's win against Boreal, as they won by set scores of 25-17, 25-11 and 25-8.

Jeremy Hoekstra paced the offensive attack with 13 points (10 kills, three aces) while Steve Clarey and Brad VanHartingsveldt had seven and six points respectively.

Clarey, the captain of the Lords, played in four sets over the weekend, making his return to the line-up after suffering an injury in the preseason.

The Lords are a half game ahead of Seneca (7-1) for first place in the OCAA east region, who they will face on the road on Friday. Prior to their showdown against the Sting, Durham will host Georgian (5-2) on Wednesday, November 28. Game time at the CRWC is 8 p.m.
