DURHAM 3, BOREAL 0

SUDBURY, Ont. – The Durham College men's volleyball team improved to 16-3 on the year with two 3-0 sweeps in Sudbury against Boreal and Cambrian this weekend.

The Lords are tied for first place in the OCAA east region standings with the Algonquin. Both teams sit two points ahead of George Brown and Seneca, who sit third and fourth at 15-4.

With 16 conference victories, the Lords match a program record for most wins in a season. The 2010-11 team had a conference record of 16-2, which was head coach Andrew Hinchey's first season on the bench.

Durham has won three straight games and five of their last six. Thirteen of Durham's 16 wins this season have been in straight sets.

OCAA regular season play will wrap up on Wednesday evening as Durham will host Trent and Algonquin will face their cross-town rival La Cite.

Durham has been in the postseason for five straight seasons and have qualified for the OCAA championship in the past three.
