FLEMING 3, LOYALIST 2

The Fleming Knights men's volleyball team defeated Loyalist 3-2 in five intense back and fourth sets.

Their last match of the season included the breaking of two OCAA records. Clay Couchmen surpassed the regular season record of most blocks by an individual, previously 83, held by Dave McMann of Durham College. With four blocks last night, Clay brought his total to 86.

The team had 16 blocks bringing their season total to 236 which broke the previous record of 221 set by Nipissing in the 1999-2000 season.

The Knights were tied for the fifth and final spot in the playoffs, however they lost out to Georgian through a tie breaker.

The team has many returning players next year and they have great potential for a strong 2013-14 season.
