TRENT 3, DURHAM 0 (FINAL)

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. – Playing against another top ranked team in the OCAA east region, the Durham College women's volleyball team found themselves on the wrong end of a well-played match as they dropped a 3-0 decision to Trent University.

Set scores were 25-15, 25-18 and 25-18.

Natasha Jakovljevic of Oshawa had a good game for the Lords up the middle as she had 11 points with four blocks. The third year captain is in the top five in OCAA blocks with 28 on the year.

Ashley Mulholland was also in double-digits in scoring for Durham with 11 points. The Whitby native has had 10 points or more in four of her last five games.

Although the Lords had plenty of offence, the Durham defence had a tough time stopping Rebecca Van Staalduinen of Trent who had a game high 13 points in the win.

Durham (4-9) is four points out of a playoff position with seven games remaining in the regular season.

The Lords will return to Peterborough on Friday for a match against the Fleming Knights.
