Darling and partner Brooke Nicholson captured the gold medal in mixed doubles at the OCAA Curling Championships in Sault Ste. Marie this past weekend. The Sault Cougars avenged their only loss of the round robin with a steal of one in the final end to defeat the Humber Hawks 6-5 in the gold medal game. Darling was named Championship MVP and a First-Team All-Star. It marks a first-ever OCAA mixed doubles medal and championship in Sault history. The Cougars last won an OCAA gold medal in 2018 in the mixed team event.
