Brian Ratcliffe joined the Bruins coaching staff in 1987 and had an immediate impact on Sheridan College's soccer success.

Ratcliffe brought success to both the outdoor and indoor men's soccer programs. During his tenure, the Bruins won a pair of outdoor OCAA championships (1990 and 1992), a national silver medal in 1990, a CCAA bronze medal in 1992 and three consecutive OCAA indoor bronze medals from 1990 to 1992.

For his efforts, Brian was named OCAA Coach of the Year in 1992.

Ratcliffe was inducted into the Sheridan Bruins Hall of Fame in 2002, and his 1990 OCAA champion and CCAA runner-up men's soccer team was inducted in 2012.
