It is with a heavy heart that the Athletics and Recreation Department announces the sudden passing of our dear colleague, coach and mentor, Jolyon Thompson.

Jolyon has been the Head Badminton Coach for the Centennial Colts since 2016. He always put our Colts student-athletes front and centre and was a tremendous advocate for them and the sport of badminton, provincially and nationally.

Even though he is gone, the positive impact Jolyon had on our lives will continue in many great ways. The badminton community and most importantly, his family and friends mourn his passing. Our department has reached out to offer our condolences and support to the Thompson family.

Additional information on any funeral services will be shared upon the consent of the Thompson family.
