HUMBER ELIMINATES SENECA AT OCAA WOMEN'S FASTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

The Humber Hawks avoided elimination at the OCAA women's fastball championship as they soared to a 13-6 win over the Seneca Sting. The OCAA championship is taking place at Durham College from October 21-22.

Jessica Raymond, Quinn Hall, and Shauna Prenger each had two hits in the 13-6 victory. Hall was named player of the game. Shelby Robblee picked up the win on the mound allowing three runs in three innings, while Jessica O'Quinn came on in relief making her second appearance of the day.

Seneca battled hard but could not make up the 7-0 deficit in the bottom of the third. Maryann Tumanguil went 2-for-3 at the plate and also pitched four innings for the Sting. Shauna Pesch was the Sting's player of the game going 2-for-4 at the plate with four RBI's.

Humber will play the loser of the Durham/St. Clair game on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. Seneca is eliminated for the championship after going 0-2.
