DURHAM ADVANCES TO GOLD MEDAL GAME IN OCAA WOMEN'S FASTBALL

Durham College advanced to the gold medal game at the OCAA Women's Fastball Championship with a come from behind 9-3 victory over the St. Clair Saints. The OCAA Championship will continue on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. with Humber taking on St. Clair with a trip to the finals on the line.

Trailing 3-1 heading in the second inning, Durham picked up three runs to take a 4-3 lead. In the bottom of the sixth inning, Durham went through the order and tallied up five runs to take a 9-3 lead. OCAA all-stars Kristin Servinis and Janna Hagan each had two hits in the game and combined for four RBI's.

Durham's starting pitcher Kristine Miles picked up the win, allowing three runs, five hits and recording seven strikeouts. She was named the Lords player of the game.

For St. Clair, Danielle Desaules had two RBI's in the game and Cait Stiles picked up a run and a hit. Stiles was named St. Clair's player of the game.

Melissa Bowyer pitched the complete game for St. Clair. She struck out three in her second game of the day.
