WINDSOR, Ont. - The St. Clair College women's fastball team now stands alone atop the OCAA standings with a 7-0 record after defeating Durham College 6-0 at the campus diamond Saturday.

Alexa Georgiou (5-0, 0.19 ERA) pitched to complete game shutout for the Saints spreading out three hits while striking out seven batters allowing only two walks. Georgiou helped her cause at the plate with a hit, an RBI and scored a run for St. Clair.

Left fielder Sarah Bondy led the Saints offensively with three hits while Rian Desbiens and Amelia Maniuk each had two hits apiece.

The St. Clair women's fastball team continues their OCAA regular season with two games Sunday on the campus diamond. The doubleheader against Seneca (North York) has games at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.

WINDSOR, Ont. - Durham College women's fastball bats went silent on Saturday afternoon as the St. Clair Saints earned a 6-0 victory over the Lords.

Durham batters were only able to come up with three hits against St. Clair pitcher Alexa Georgiou, who pitched the complete game shutout for her fifth win of the season.

Saturday's game was scoreless until the bottom of the third inning when St. Clair would score a pair of runs. The Saints would add on to their lead with three runs in the fourth and one more in the fifth, cruising to their seventh win of the year.

Lords starting pitcher Lydia Kalbfleisch allowed four earned runs on 12 hits over six innings.

Sarah Bondy was the Saints top batter as she went 3-for-4 at the plate.

St. Clair improves to 7-0 this season, with three of their wins coming against the Lords. Durham is 5-4, two games behind the Humber Hawks (7-2) for second place in the OCAA.

Durham and Humber will play three times in the next two weeks including a doubleheader on Tuesday night in Toronto.
