HAMILTON, Ont. - Humber Hawks preyed on the struggling Mohawk Mountaineers, taking a pair of lopsided decisions at Mohawk Sports Park Tuesday (Oct. 8).
The Hawks won the opener 12-0 as Jessica O'Quinn picked up the win and produced half the scoring as well. O'Quinn hit a three run homer and a three run double for six RBI.
Amanda Edmonds was 2-for-3 and Stephanie Ferretti went 2-for-4 for the home team. Laura Chappel was the losing pitcher.
In the nightcap, Humber romped 18-5. Keira Lansley drove in four runs as Jessie Ulens beat Tamara Cochrane. Edmonds hit a three run triple for the Mountaineers.
With the sweep, Humber improved to 12-2 while Mohawk dropped to 0-14.
