ST. CLAIR 7, FANSHAWE 0

TECUMSEH, Ont. - The St. Clair College women's softball team used the long ball Tuesday night to sweep Fanshawe College in a pair of games at Mic Mac Park to run their record to 7-2 on the season.

The Saints got two home runs from Skyler Patteson (Guelph, Ont.) and another one from Jenna Pierce (London, Ont.) to win game one by a score of 7-0.

They kept it going in game two with Allison Telfer (Windsor, Ont./FJ Brennan) supplying a deep fly in an 11-1 mercy to cap the evening. In all the Saints smashed 13 extra base hits in the two games.

Alexa Georgiou (Windsor, Ont./Assumption) pitched seven innings in game one for her fourth win of the season while Jenna Pierce picked up the win on the mound in game two with six innings of work.

The Saints continue their OCAA schedule when they host Conestoga College (Kitchener, Ont.) at 1 p.m. on Saturday back at the campus diamond. St. Clair will take on Mohawk College (Hamilton, Ont.) Sunday in a doubleheader scheduled for 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. also at the campus diamond.

TECUMSEH, Ont. - The Fanshawe Falcons women's softball team went 1-2 last week.

On Tuesday, the Falcons travelled to St. Clair College to take on the Saints in a doubleheader. Fanshawe lost both games by scores of 7-0 and 11-1. Fanshawe's Kady Hawkins had the only RBI on the trip for the Falcons, going 4-for-6 at the plate between the two games.

The Falcons came back with a 4-3 victory on the road on Saturday versus the Seneca Sting. The win moved Fanshawe to within two points of Durham College in the OCAA standings.
