ST. CLAIR 14, MOHAWK 0

WINDSOR, Ont. - The St. Clair College women's softball team extended their winning streak to nine games with a perfect 3-0 weekend at the campus diamond.

On Saturday, the Saints defeated second place Conestoga College (Kitchener, Ont.) by a score of 6-2 with a complete game five-hit performance from pitcher Alexa Georgiou (Windsor, Ont./Assumption) who chipped in with two hits at the plate.

On Sunday, St. Clair swept a doubleheader from Mohawk College (Hamilton, Ont.) both in a mercy-shortened five innings by scores of 10-0 and 14-0. Jenna Pierce (London, Ont.) picked up the win in the first game for St. Clair allowing no hits and walking just two batters. Georgiou was the story again throwing a perfect five innings allowing no base runners while striking out 12 of the 15 Mohawk batters she faced.

The Saints continue their OCAA schedule when they travel to face Humber College (Etobicoke, Ont.) on Sept. 27 for a doubleheader and then a single game at Durham College (Oshawa, Ont.) on Sept. 28.

WINDSOR, Ont. - The Mohawk women's softball team contiunues to struggle.The Mountaineers travelled to St. Clair in Windsor, Ont., Sept. 21 and were no-hit twice in 10-0 and 14-0 decisions.

Jenna Pierce threw a five-inning no-hitter for the Saints in the opener. All she allowed were two walks. In game two, Alexa Georgiou of the Saints hurled a stunning five inning perfect game where she struck out 12 of Mohawk's 15 hitters.

Mohawk saw it's record drop to 0-7. The Mountaineers visit Durham on Wednesday, Sept. 24.
