ST. CLAIR 9, SENECA 2

WINDSOR, Ont. - The St. Clair College women's softball team now control their own destiny and hold a 13-4 record atop the OCAA standings after winning a pair of games this past weekend.

The Saints topped Seneca College 9-2 Saturday at the campus field and then boarded the bus for Hamilton, Ont. On Sunday they won 17-2 over Mohawk College in a mercy-shortened five innings.

St. Clair is now tied with Durham after they dropped a game against Conestoga in Oshawa, Ont., on Sunday. With a 2-1 record against Durham, the Saints and hold the tie-breaker in the head-to-head season series.

St. Clair will need a win Tuesday in London, Ont., against Fanshawe (8-9, fifth place) to assure themselves the top seed heading into the OCAA championships which will be hosted in Windsor, Ont. from Oct. 17-18 at Mic Mac Park.

The Saints continue their OCAA schedule Tuesday when they travel to London, Ont., to face Fanshawe College for a single game to conclude their regular season.
