KITCHENER, Ont. - The Mohawk women's softball team earned a split in OCAA play at Conestoga on Friday.

The Mountaineers were blanked 4-0 in the opener. Aimee Leduc was charged with the defeat.

But in the nightcap Leduc was the winner, in a 5-3, eight inning verdict for Mohawk. Leduc helped herself with an RBI. Natasha Pasetto drove in two runs, while Courtney Lukawiecki and Ashley Uimonen also contributed RBIs.

Mohawk head coach Todd Bannister thought it was his team's best game of the season.

Mohawk is now 6-16, while Conestoga is 8-12.
