OSHAWA, Ont. - For the second time this season, the Mohawk Mountaineers divided a women's softball doubleheader with the Durham Lords. This time they did it in Oshawa on Tuesday.
It didn't start out well, as the Lords rolled to an 8-0 opening game whitewash of the Mountaineers and losing pitcher Nikki Grover.
But it was a different story in the second game as the Mountaineers won 4-1. Aimee Leduc was the winning pitcher and had an RBI as well. Grover used her bat to drive in a pair of runs and Kaylee Bertrand scored twice.
The net result left Durham with a 9-7 record while Mohawk moved to 7-11.
