TONIGHT: OCAA STUDENT-ATHLETE/COACH MENTAL HEALTH WEBINAR

TONIGHT: OCAA STUDENT-ATHLETE/COACH MENTAL HEALTH WEBINAR

TORONTO - The Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) is excited to partner with HONE Athletics on a webinar for student-athletes and coaches regarding mental health later this month.

HONE Athletics is dedicated to improving sport (athlete experience and performance) through mental well-being. HONE's digital platform is built on a decade of sport-specific mental health experience. It is HONE's goal to empower coaches with the knowledge and tools needed to develop both sides of the athlete; the mental/emotional side as well as the physical side.

The next frontier for sport is well-being… It's time to #PutMentalHealthInTheGame.

MENTAL HEALTH & COLLEGE ATHLETES: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Student-athletes face unique pressures compared to their non-athlete counterparts. HONE Athletics works with teams to help them recognize and address the common stressors that affect athletic performance and, ultimately, the athlete experience. The call has been put out to improve the state of mental health in sport and HONE is helping teams answer that call.

OCAA student-athletes and coaches are invited to join HONE founders Jessica Renney and Paula McQuaid as they discuss:

  • The state of mental health in sport today
  • What HONE sees specifically at the collegiate-level of athletics
  • What you can do as an athlete to protect your well-being and contribute to a team culture of wellness

Date: January 23, 2023

Time: 7 p.m. ET
