In a battle between the top two teams in the West Division on Jan. 28, Andrews finished with a match-high 17 points and an incredible .800 (13-for-15) swing percentage as Humber defeated Conestoga in four sets. The third-year left side also added a pair of aces and two blocks. Babatunde Sowunmi continued a recent stretch of solid two-way play with a third consecutive double-double on Jan. 28 against the Canadore Panthers. The 6-foot-10 forward recorded 15 points and 16 rebounds in the 104-91 win for the Lambton Lions. Babatunde Sowunmi finished the game shooting 87.5 percent from the field (7-of-8), and has only missed two shots combined over a span of three games. Gilligan netted a career-best game-high 39 points in St. Lawrence's thrilling come-from-behind 85-74 overtime victory over Loyalist on Jan. 27. Gilligan scored a dozen of those points in the fourth quarter as the Surge trailed by 25 points with under 10 minutes remaining in regulation. Gillian also scored all seven of St. Lawrence's points in overtime. Gillian's offensive contribution was complimented by the fifth-year guard's defensive efforts, finishing with a game-high nine steals and eight rebounds, seven off the opposition glass.

Aaron Morrison

Year of Eligibility: 2
Sport: Men's Volleyball

Morrison had a career night in Conestoga's four-set upset victory over the Humber Hawks on Jan. 28. The second-year outside hitter contributed 10 kills on 17 attempts for a .529 hitting percentage while chipping in with one ace and one block, setting a career high for kills and points in a match. Morrison's sound reception and defence allowed the Conestoga squad consistency and rhythm in its two matches versus Sheridan and Humber this week. The Condors take on a pair of Hamilton squads in Mohawk and Redeemer this week.

Turner Neame
School: Mohawk
Program: Construction Techniques
Year of Eligibility: 2
Sport: Men's Volleyball

Neame set a new Mohawk Mountaineers record for total digs in a single season, surpassing Ryan Dela Rosa who held the record with 132 digs from the 2011-12 season. Neame had 15 digs in a four-set loss to the Humber Hawks on Jan. 26 and added another 10 in a three-set victory over the Sheridan Bruins on Jan. 28. The second-year libero now has 159 digs on the season, good for third among all OCAA players this season. With three regular season matches to go in February, Neame has time to add to the new record.

Ava Proskos
School: George Brown
Program: Social Service Worker
Year of Eligibility: 1
Sport: Women's Basketball
Hometown: Pickering, Ont.
Proskos led the George Brown Huskies to a 61-49 victory over the Seneca Sting on Jan. 27. Proskos was also good on one free-throw attempt. The win ended George Brown's seven game losing streak and keeps the Huskies within reach of a post-season berth in the East Division. George Brown opens the month of February on the road against Toronto-rival Centennial on Thursday.
