TORONTO - The Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) has selected hosts for its 2022-23 OCAA provincial championships.
OCAA members went through a bid process for hosting OCAA regional tournaments and championships which received final approval at the OCAA annual meeting in Kingston, Ont., this past week.
Hosting championships in OCAA's league sports include St. Clair College (Windsor) in Men's Baseball; Fanshawe College (London) in Women's Softball; Humber College (Toronto) in Men's Soccer; Durham College (Oshawa) in Women's Soccer; Loyalist College (Belleville) in Women's Rugby Sevens; Fanshawe in Men's Volleyball; Sheridan College (Oakville) in Women's Volleyball; St. Clair in Men's Basketball; and Niagara College (Welland) in Women's Basketball.
League sports championships will return to an eight team format for 2022-23 with the exception of Men's Baseball, Women's Softball and Women's Rugby Sevens which will be six-team tournaments.
There is no predetermined host for Men's Rugby, with the top-seeded teams playing host to the OCAA gold and bronze medal matches.
Playing host to OCAA tournament sports championships (either on or off campus) include Niagara in Golf; Confederation College (Thunder Bay) in Cross Country; Niagara in Curling; Seneca College (Toronto) in Badminton; and Sheridan in Indoor Soccer.
Collège Boréal (Sudbury) and Cambrian College (Sudbury) will play host to Badminton regionals leading into provincials. Indoor Soccer regional hosts include Conestoga College (Kitchener), Lakehead University (Orillia) and Seneca.
All hosts and dates are subject to change.
