REDEEMER 74, ST. CLAIR 59 (FINAL)

A slow start for St. Clair saw Redeemer hold a 20-10 lead after the first quarter. The Saints then used a 15-10 run to tie the game in the second quarter at 25-25 but Redeemer closed the half in control at 39-31. In the second half St. Clair had opportunities to close the gap but untimely turnovers and poor free throw shooting did not allow a comeback to happen. St. Clair could only come within eight points the rest of the game.

Stephen Gray (Milton, Ont.) had a break-out game for the Saints scoring a game high 31 points to go along with eight rebounds and four steals. However, he was the only St. Clair player in double figures. Ryan Salmon (Toronto) did have eight rebounds, six assists and scored six points to help the Saints.

Redeemer used balanced scoring with four players reaching double figures led by Dhimitri Laurasi with 18 points.

The St. Clair men host Niagara (Welland) on Sunday at 3 p.m. to finish their weekend home stand.
