SHERIDAN 86, ST. CLAIR 76

Sheridan (6-1) defeated St. Clair (3-4) by a score of 86-76.
 
St. Clair shot the lights out in the first half making good on over 58 percent from the field including 8-of-10 from three-point range.

Sheridan trailed 27-17 after the first quarter but were able to cut into the lead in the second quarter and only trailed 44-40 at halftime.

Sheridan used second-chance points (14) and a 28-13 advantage in points of the bench to outlast the tired Saints who fought hard but only managed 11 points the fourth quarter.

Matt Nuna led the Saints with 19 points including five triples while Xavier Jones had one of his finest games with 16 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists just missing a triple-double. Alex Temesy chipped in with 14 points for St. Clair.

The Saints basketball teams host Humber College Saturday, Nov. 24 with the women at 6 p.m. and men at 8 p.m.
