CENTENNIAL 70, GEORGIAN 60

Looking for their second home win Georgian Grizzlies men's basketball team ran into a tough Centennial Colts team, Friday night at the Georgian Athletic Centre.

The Grizzlies didn't do themselves any favours by being unable to find the basket early, playing catch-up all night to their visitors from Scarborough.

Only scoring 17 points in the first half, the Grizzlies found themselves almost trailing the Colts by that much down 33-17.

Georgian tried opening things up in the second half but things back fired as the Colts were able to pounce on the Grizzlies drives on offence. In the fourth the Grizzlies got it together putting up 30 points largely due to some big three-pointers by Georgian's Brandon Seales who had 13 points in the game, but it wasn't enough as the Grizzlies fell 70-60.

Ben Dance had another solid game for Georgian scoring a team-high 15 points while Stefan Rudic had 13 points in just over 26 minutes on the court.

The Grizzlies travel to Algonquin next Saturday before returning home to play Cambrian on Friday, February 8 at the Georgian Athletic Centre.
