GEORGIAN 79, FLEMING 57

An inspired group of Grizzlies veterans came out to play Saturday afternoon when Georgian hosted the Fleming Knights in men's basketball.

Nolan Knill (Barrie), Jevon Francis (Innisfill), Ben Dance (Bolton), and Tevin Goodridge (Montreal) all started in their final games as Grizzlies before graduation and set the tone from the outset.

Pulling off a 22-12 first quarter lead, the Grizzlies went the distance never trailing and looking strong the entire match to pull out a 79-57 victory.

The Grizzlies continued to put up points the rest of the way led by freshman Alex Fields who continued his strong play this season scoring a season high 19 points.

Each of the four veterans were pulled from the game halfway through the fourth quarter to a great ovation from the fans in attendance giving them a fitting sendoff after great careers with the Grizzlies.
