ST. LAWRENCE (K) 71, DURHAM 46

OSHAWA, Ont. – On senior's night at Durham College, visiting St. Lawrence College handed the Lords their 15th loss of the season as they fell 71-46 to the Vikings.

Durham finishes the year with a 5-15 record, missing out on the playoffs for the first time in 2006-07.

The first quarter featured equal play as the Vikings sit just one spot ahead of the Lords in the OCAA East Region standings. Christoff Pierre (Brampton Ont.) opened the scoring for the Lords, however their lead did not last long as the Vikings stormed back to take a 15-11 first quarter lead.

Largely due to shooting only 27.3 percent from the field, the Lords found themselves down by 19 late in the first half as St. Lawrence went into the half leading 38-19.

The second half was a blowout as the Vikings kept knocking down threes on the Lords. Terence Thomas (Ottawa) led the way with 30 points, nine rebounds and eight 3-pointers.

In the loss, Ricardo London (Ajax, Ont.) had 13 points for the Lords.

Zac Vaspori (Port Hope, Ont.), Tristan Francisco (Whitby, Ont.), Randy Osei (Brampton, Ont.), Christoff Pierre (Brampton, Ont.) and Ali Sadaat (Courtice, Ont.) were all honoured as graduating seniors of the the Durham College basketball program.
