SHERIDAN READY FOR BATTLE WITH QUEST IN NATIONAL QUARTER-FINAL

SQUAMISH, B.C. - When they were last on the court, the Sheridan Bruins men's basketball team (30-5, 18-3 OCAA) were the unquestioned fan favourites as hosts of the OCAA championship.

They will see that role reversed 180-degrees when they open play at the national championship though, drawing the hosts from Quest in the quarter-final.

"As a No. 2 seed coming into this thing I think we got about as tough of a draw as you can imagine," Sheridan head coach Jim Flack said. "This place has some of the most passionate crowds in British Columbia and they've got some outstanding players. We're not going to try and come out with any surprises, we're just going to do what we do. If they beat us, then so be it and if we win, we'll move on to the final four. It's going to be a night where we're going to have to bring our A-game and stay very composed."

Quest finished third in the PacWest during the regular season, with a 16-5 record and went on to win the bronze medal after losing to last year's national champions from VIU in the conference semi-final.

They were the only team to beat top-ranked Langara this season, securing an 80-77 win on Nov. 9.
