DURHAM 94, CANADORE 87

NORTH BAY, Ont. - The Canadore Panthers men's varsity Basketball team lost a tough, back and forward game to the Durham Lords today in the Education Centre gymnasium in front of a big crowd.

Christian Casimier was the top scorer for Canadore with 20 points.

Head coach Stacey Gallagher says, "When you're not consistent, the wrong things happen. When you're consistent the right things happen. Because we got away from being consistent, we ended up failing in the end."

Through each quarter, the Panthers and the Lords battled for the lead but the Lords came ahead for the final time in the fourth quarter. Durham player, Ajahmo Clarke, posted an impressive 41 points, carrying his team to victory.

Player of the game, Jevon Marshall, was just as unimpressed as his coach when he explained, "To win games, we need to play as a unit, as a team. We can't let other people take us out of that, because this is what happens."

NORTH BAY, Ont. - The Durham College men's basketball team earned their first conference win of the year on Saturday as they defeated the Canadore Panthers 94-87 in North Bay.

Ajahmo Clarke (Ajax, Ont.) had a huge afternoon for the green and gold as he scored a season-high 41 points while adding 15 rebounds and eight steals to his totals. Clarke is averaging 26.8 points per game which is second in OCAA scoring.

North Bay has proven to be a tough place to play for opponents as the Panthers were 2-0 at home heading into Saturday's game. One reason why is the performance of Christian Casimier, who managed to record a team-high 25 points and 14 rebounds for the home team in the loss.

With the win, Durham puts an end to their four-game losing streak to start the season.

The Lords next action will be on Friday, Nov. 15 in Oshawa when they host the Centennial Colts (3-1), which will be a rematch of the David Stewart Tip-Off tournament finals. Game time is 8 p.m. at the CRWC.
