ALGONQUIN 103, CANADORE 70

OTTAWA - The Canadore Panthers men's varsity basketball team fell to the East Division's first place team, the Algonquin Thunder in Ottawa today by 33 points.

The Algonquin Thunder are currently undefeated in OCAA regular season play, winning 10 games in a row, to claim first place in the East Division. By the halfway mark of the game, the Panthers were only down by nine points, but after coming back for the last two quarters, the Thunder were able to gain an extra 24-point lead over the Canadore team.

Canadore head coach Stacy Gallagher says, "We made some mistakes today and Algonquin took control of the game. We also missed a lot of foul shots, and those are easy points so we have to start dropping them in the net."
