LA CITE 87, CANADORE 75

OTTAWA - The Canadore Panthers men's varsity basketball team fell short to the La Cite Coyotes in Ottawa today.

Canadore's top scorer was Christian Casimier with 23 points.

The Panther men have not yet been able to capture a win on the road this season. Their record sits at 3-7, putting them in 10th place in the East Division, right in front of Fleming College.

The Panthers came out flying in the first quarter and then fell flat for the next two quarters. In the fourth, they scored 33 points compared to the Coyotes 14 points but by that time, it was too late as the Coyotes held on for the win.

Canadore head coach Stacy Gallagher says, "We didn't control the boards and their rebounding made the difference, giving them 10 second-chance points. Obviously this is not how I wanted to end the first half of the season but this break will be good for the guys and we'll come back stronger in the new year."
